Neuro-PS Review

Neuro-PS Review

No one wants to age. From puberty, everyone wants to be forever increasing in physical and mental health. As we age, however, there comes a point of peak, and then the steady decline. No one likes this decline. Is there a way to stop, or at least slow, this design, though?

This is what Neuro-PS, a product of the company Puritan’s Pride, claims to offer. The minds behind Neuro-PS claim their pill to be able to improve memory, sharpen mental focus, clarity, and help in learning. However, this is what most other nootropics claim to do, anyway. Each nootropic usually has its own differentiation point, in which in that aspect, they’re better than all the rest, or at least claim to be.

Unlike many other nootropics, Neuro-PS has tried to position themselves on the market with the help of Puritan’s Pride to try to differentiate their product from the vast ocean of nootropics by claiming that their product also reduces cognitive decline and dysfunction that comes as a byproduct of aging.

Is this claim true?

Here at, we aim to compare the best of the best brain enhancing nootropic supplements to provide our readers the best information that you can make the most informed decision that you can, and make the best selection that is parallel to your individual needs.

Neuro-PS, unlike many of its competitors, has been around for a while already, though. So how does it compare with the latest marketing offerings?

We were quite disappointed that we weren’t able to get much information about the ingredients in Neuro-PS. We tried checking on their site prior to ordering a shipment, and even after the package arrived, we still couldn’t find the exact ingredients on their supplements.

There was a Supplement Facts sheet at the back of their bottle, but even then, it wasn’t exactly clear what specific ingredients were contained in their softgel pills. We did get an answer on some of their ingredients, which contained:

  • Phosphatidic Acid
  • Phosphatidylinositol
  • Soy Phospholipids & Glycosides
  • Phosphatidylcholine
  • Phosphatidylethanolamine
  • Neuro-PS’ Proprietary Blend

There was no information provided on neither the specific mg for each ingredient nor the ingredients themselves contained in the Neuro-PS Proprietary Blend.

The ingredients that were included seemed to be kept under such secretive wraps, probably since they did not want competitors copying their formulas. However, a secondary reason that might be as to why their Neuro-PS formula was kept in secret is because sometimes, manufacturers do not want to disclose the fact that the ingredients that they use might just be a little lacking in quality.

We’re not claiming that that is what Puritan’s Pride is going for with Neuro-PS, however, just keep in mind that that is a possibility with nootropics with a “Proprietary Blend.”

Experimenting with Neuro-PS

After receiving it in the mail, we were quite skeptical to try Neuro-PS, to be honest. We didn’t want to take anything that we weren’t sure of what was inside. We didn’t want any potential side effects, especially those long-term.

However, with increasing demand from our readers, and the fact that Neuro-PS has been here for a long time (that means, they’ve gotta be doing something right, right?), we decided to let it run the course of our 8-week experimenting period.

The first thing we’ve noticed was that we started experiencing more vivid dreams, and some of us even had a chance at lucid dreaming, something that a lot of people aspire to be able to do at least once in their lives. This was strange to us, since effects related to dreaming, if present in a nootropic, usually occur much later into our testing period.

The next thing we noticed was an increase in focus, which set on after the first week, followed by increased advanced vocabulary usage, which set on after 3 weeks. Towards the end of the 8-week period, it seemed as if the team here at were experiencing a very calm, peaceful environment at work, as the pill also affected mood positively.

We were unable to test the claims of Neuro-PS about countering cognitive decline caused by an onset of aging. However, with further research on the internet, it was stated that the manufacturer’s claims had no actual backing evidence.

Although there were no side effects experienced during the testing period, it’s interesting that there are also no listed side effects provided by Puritan’s Pride either. Instead, there was only a warning that pregnant women should avoid this treatment.

Here on, we know the best nootropics that you can get for the most value in relative to your expendable resources. We’ve studied the trends and the marketing schemes that so many nootropic companies employ to get you to buy more of their product.

For example, there are companies that state a low cost for a bottle. What people don’t know is that the bottle might indicate that the daily dosage is a high number, causing the bottle to run out sooner than you think. Effectively, you will then have to buy 2 or even 3 bottles in a month.

From the Puritan’s Pride website, a bottle of 60 softgels of Neuro-PS goes for around $34 at standard retail price. When we bought our supply, it was at a “buy 1 get 1 free” discount, so please be advised. Compare prices from different places before you make an order. Check out our shopping section too!

However, on the bottle, the daily dosage is 3 times a day, between meals. This makes it so your 60 softgels will last for 20 days. Thus, a monthly supply of Neuro-PS is $51 – a price that in the mid-low range, comparible to Neuro Optimizer and Neurosurge.

Readers’ Report

We’ve been receiving quite a lot of reviews and emails lately from our readers, and sometimes it takes us quite a while to compile all the emails concerning one specific product. In this case, there were generally positive reviews to be heard from our readers.

That being said, the order in which effects kick in seemed to vary between person to person. For example, for the team here at, we experienced vivid and lucid dreams way before other things like focus and mental clarity. In contrast, some users had this the other way around.

As we say with all nootropics, do not be surprised if you do not get any immediate effects. Always give at least 3 months to gauge the effectiveness of a nootropic. Everyone is different, and there will be variations on a case-by-case basis.

However, it seemed like a lot of our users were also curious as to what was inside the softgel pills of Neuro-PS. This was something that we have been unable to answer, and now, even with further knowledge, to our dismay, are still unable to answer completely.
